Verizon Wireless Arena General Information:
Verizon Wireless Arena, sometimes called "The Phone Booth", is New Hampshire's premier arena. The Verizon is host to hundreds of events every year including hockey, basketball, arena football, concerts, children's shows, ice shows, and more!
The first event at the Verizon Wireless Arena was held on November 16, 2001, a Monarchs game. The following night, Aerosmith broke in the stage, performing with openers The Cult. In the years since then, the stage has been graced by Elton John, Motley Crue, Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Cher, and many more. The Wiggles, Disney on Ice, Stars on Ice, Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, the Harlem Globetrotters, the Boston Celtics, and the Boston Bruins have all performed live at the Verizon.
Seating capacity varies on the event, ranging between 10,000-12,000 patrons. All lower level (100 level) sections start with row A (May vary for some events). Floor sections start with row AA (closest to the stage), run through ZZ, and the continue starting again at row A. Upper level sections begin with varying lettered rows.
There is plenty of parking around the arena. Most of the parking is paid-parking, but the prices are fair, less than $10 in most lots. If you chose a lot very close to the arena for a big show, you may pay much more. If you know the area, free parking is usually easy to find. I like to use the TD Banknorth parking lot, located behind the Radisson Hotel. The signs say "no parking", but as long as it's after bank hours, they don't seem concerned. Park there at your own risk though, don't blame me!
The arena is also called home by the Manchester Wolves, an Arena Football team in the AF2 league.
